
Admission Criteria
The criteria for admission into the school include the following:
- entrance examination results
- past academic performance
- interview with the candidate
- recommendation from referee
Prospective students are expected to score a maximum of 70% in the entrance examination in other to be eligible for admission.
Students wishing to join us must have successfully and satisfactorily completed the previous class before the class into which they seek admission.
Interested applicants are expected to obtain an admission form, to be filled and submitted with their last school report at:

Examination
The candidate should come to the examination venue punctually with his\her writing materials. The exam will last approximately 2hrs. 45mins and covers the following areas:
- English
- Mathematics
- General Paper
After the examinations, parents or candidates shortlisted for interview will be informed by either e-mail or telephone to bring the student for interview. Admission letters are given almost immediately to successful candidates. The next part of the entry requirement is the parents acceptance of the place together with payment of a non-refundable deposit. This will be deducted from the student's first term's fees.
TRANSFER TO IRVINGTON COLLEGE
When an applicant is being considered for admission as a transfer student, the criteria and procedure stated above also apply. In addition, the transferee will be required to submit to Irvington College a transfer certificate or school testimonial from his previous school. Recent reports from the students present school will also be sighted.
